Catch a Falling Star
and put it in your pocket, save it for a rainy day.
I started a post today that you won’t read here. I’ve thought about writing a book, but never started — until today. When I started the post I was at Tammi’s kitchen table. I’d just created culinary genius in the form of a perfectly blended and foamed cappuccino and was getting a little tired. I’d been thinking about a time in my life that taught me lessons that have helped me achieve success in my career. It actually dawned on me when I was waiting for my car to be repaired. It’s not a Jetta, which is what I thought I’d get when I got out of school and got a job. I also thought I’d live in a loft and look at me now! I’m all suburbanized in my townhouse.
You hit a point when writing a blog post where you ask yourself, is this too long? Long story short, I had a post that was longer than anything people would want to read online. I had also just finished Chelsea Handler’s memoir “My Horizontal Life” so I was in a writing mood. Reading a memoir always does that to me.
So, Jettas and Lofts takes on yet another meaning in my life.
Um, I don’t really understand this one. And I demand longer blogs! I’m bored here at work and I need something I can read.
Aaaaah, now I understand.
